I can’t resolve the John x Margaret McColl who were supposed to be on the Jupiter of 1775 leaving Appin for Wilmington. They are not on the passenger list. My husband family are the descendents of Alexander who married Mary McDonald… children include 1 son Paul that finally settled in ARkansas. Had a total of 3 wifes.

Alexander is listed on the Jupiter as a child of John (age 49) and Mildred (40). Do you know if this John and Mildred are the same as John and Margaret aka Peggy?

Is this the Paul that I have married to Minnie Saddler and the son I have written as “Robert L.”? My McCall line also continued onto Carlsbad New Mexico before heading up to Oregon. I’d be interested in connecting with you further on your research

My father was Paul Jackson McCall’s son. He was Robert Bruce McCall and was born on Dec. 5, 1909. He died June 26th 1997 in Effingham Illinois. He had 7 children; Hope – born about 1930 (this was by his first wife). Also Robert – b 1937, Shellie – b 1939, James – b 1941 are my half siblings. He married my mother Ruth Dare Steward of Casey Illinois in Carlsbad New Mexico on Sept 19th 1944. They had three children Paul Steward McCall, born Sept 23, 1945 in Olney Illinois, Jennie Ann McCall Heischmidt, born Sept 4, 1952 in St. Elmo, Illinois, and Sarah Elizabeth McCall Gentry, born Nov 25, 1960 in Vandalia, Illinois

In the above listing, you have a Lucy Fraser as a child of Catherine McColl and William Fraser. They had a daughter Lucy, but the birthdate is that of my grandmother Jennie Alma Fraser who was the youngest child of Catherine and William. She was the baby and her parents died before she was grown, and she was raised by her sister, Annie, who was married to James McKinnon.
