Gravelly Sunday School’s Cotton, Yell Co., Arkansas – Family Photo

I found this picture in my Great Grandmother Etoyl (Montgomery) McCall’s tattered photo album and scanned it. It shows a picture taken in Gravelly, Yell County, Arkansas of the Cotton produced by the Gravelly Sunday School. I looked closely at the picture and was able to identify my Great Grandmother Etoyl (Montgomery) McCall, her husband Robert Lee “Bob” McCall, and his father John Keener “J.K” McCall.

I’ve seen the woman sitting next to my Great Grandmother in several other photos, I may have her name somewhere. I think she’s a cousin. I’m told that Etoyl was very close to her cousins and missed them terribly when she moved away.

Here’s a close-up of the sign they’re holding:

And here’s a close-up of where I was able to identify my relatives: Left: Etoyl (Montgomery) McCall (1896-1996), Center: Robert Lee McCall (1896-1989), Right: John Keener McCall (1872-1965). It also looks like Etoyl’s brother is directly above her.
