Looking for ancestors of Philip or Thse & Katherine Schmick/Schmuck, and John Morasch. They all immigrated from the Volga area, and settled in WA. I am from the Braun (Brown) Line. GGreat grandpa was George Michael Braun married to katharina Weirich. GGGreat was Joseph married to Barbara Wittman.

I also just stumbled upon this. I believe I am also a member of the Rupp family, my great grandmothers name was Katherina Rupp, born in about 1889. She married Casper Scaab and immigrated to Iowa.

Any help or resources to trace her (or Casper) back to Russia/Germany would be very helpful!

Hi! My family came from Herzog, Russia and settled in Herzog Kansas. I currently live in Wichita, Kansas and still have family from this line close to Hays, Kansas, Colorado and the Kansas/Colorado border. I have been researching my genealogy and would love to talk to anyone who shares my history. My family is Dreiling, Bolig, etc and there are Pfeifers and Rupps in my tree. I just happened to stumble upon this website. I am the village coordinator for Herzog, Russia – my family was from there and I’m related to the Pfeifer and Rupp families. I happen to be sitting next to the village coordinator for Obermonjou as well. We are currently at the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia convention in Lincoln, NE. I would love to make contact with you and help fill in your past with pictures, stories and information if I can.
