My grand father came from Mariental,Russia He was an illegimate son of Catherine Weimer Untereiner. They settled in and around Park,Ks. Trying to find out who his real father was. His name is George Weimer and was born on 2-24-1882 in Mariendal, Russia. Died in 1959 in state hospital Larned Ks.He kept his mother’s maiden name of weimer.

Please let me know if you might have any clues as to where to look for info or if you happen to have any info already.

I am a descendant of Andreas Korbe who came from Marienthal, and moved to Ellis county in the 1870′s. My grandfather Matthew Korbe was born in Munjor Kansas in 1914. His mother was Barbara Rohr Korbe. Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.

looking for Anna Braun who married Michael Schwefel. Naturalization indicates they were from Dehlar but Brent Mai found a Schwefel in a colony just north of Dehlar called Reinwald. My husband’s mother was born in Baku on the mouth of the Volga. Speculation is they went down there due to the oil.
Do you have any info. on these two families?

I also just stumbled upon this. I believe I am also a member of the Rupp family, my great grandmothers name was Katherina Rupp, born in about 1889. She married Casper Scaab and immigrated to Iowa.

Any help or resources to trace her (or Casper) back to Russia/Germany would be very helpful!
